I am proposing a Special Session for the 2001 MLA Conference in New Orleans
on any relationship between power, identity and performance in the
transition from graduate student to professor. How is one's identity
constructed and defined in relation to power dynamics and "performance
    (anxiety)" in the profession?

Open to all critical and theoretical perspectives.
    Experimental methodologies encouraged.

E-mail 1-2 page proposals by March 10 to Barbara Tilley
    babsie@grove.ufl.edu
Please include name, mailing address, email address, phone number and title
of submission. Please do not send vitae.

Inquiries only to Christine Roth croth@nwe.ufl.edu.
