    The editors of -Eighteenth-Century Fiction- invite submissions to a
    special number (July 2003) on "Fiction and Religion" in the eighteenth
    century. MSS should reach us by 1 July 2002.

    Considerations of any aspect of the depiction, role, or significance of
    religion with regard to the fiction of the period are welcome: the Bible,
    psalms, hymns, and sermons; spiritual guides and autobiographies; the
    clergy; the Established Churches; Dissent; Methodism; Roman Catholicism
    and anti-Catholicism; Jews and anti-Semitism; Muslims; deists;
    millenariansim; atheists and free-thinkers; libertinism; religious
    hypocrisy; pornography; science and enlightenment; civil religion; state
    ceremonies and public performance.

    The author's identity should not appear on the manuscript, as ECF follows
    a policy of blind evaluation.

    MSS may be in English or in French.
