    WHAT IS PHICS?

The PHICS Conference (Philosophy and Cognitive

Philosophy of Mind and the Philosophy of Language
together with students in the other cognitive sciences
to foster cross-disciplinary discussion and debate.

Carleton's departments of Philosophy and Cognitive
Science, and will include a number of refereed
    contributions from graduate (and undergraduate)
students in addition to an address by a keynote
speaker (TBA) and a mini-symposium on the relevance of
Kant to Cognitive Science and contemporary Philosophy

science, the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of

subject to a blind review process, and the proceedings
of the conference will be published in PDF format on
    the conference web site.

The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2001. Although
PHICS is primarily intended for graduate students,
