I'm interested in papers for an MLA special session I'm proposing on work
and immigrant identity in the US. How do certain kinds of work mark
workers as immigrant or American? What are the intersections of ethnic and
class identities in relation to labor and leisure? How can we think about
urban work (sweatshops, department stores, factories etc) in relation to
rural labor? How is the gender of work connected to immigrant or US
    identities?

Please send abstracts or papers to me by March 15 at the address or email
    below.

    thanks,

    Sarah
