    CALL FOR PAPERS--AUTOBIOGRAPHY

    Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association Annual Conference
    9-11 November 2001
    Santa Clara University, California

    Papers on all aspects of autobiography are welcome; I will be
    particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches to
    autobiography. Topics might include

    Autobiography and/in the Arts (music, painting, photography, etc.)
    Autobiography and/in the Media (film, TV, journalism, etc.)
    Autobiography and/in the Sciences (medicine, natural history,
    physics, biology, etc.)
    Autobiography and/in the Environment
    Autobiography and/in Popular Culture
    Ethnography and Travel Writing
    Multi-genre pieces will also be considered.

    Please submit 500-word proposals and 50-word abstracts by 23 March 2001 to
