FIRST MEETING OF THE SPANISH ASSOCIATION FOR IRISH STUDIES
“Ireland and a New Millenium”
Burgos 24th to 26th of May in 2001
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Inaugural Act of the Spanish Association for Irish Studies will be
held at the University of Burgos (Spain) on 24th, 25th and 26th of May
in 2001. The English Department is preparing a meeting and conference
under the generic title of “Ireland and a New Millenium”. We encourage
you to prepare a 20-minute paper under the topics of language,
literature, culture and history, and any other aspect which could
enhance our knowledge of Ireland. Those interested in participating
should send the title and a brief abstract before 31st of March, 2001,
to the address or e-mail below (in English or Spanish). The inscription
fee will be 8.000 pesetas.
During the conference the first meeting will be held in order to discuss
the statutes of the Spanish Association for Irish Studies and to elect
the executives.
