The deadline for abstracts for a proposed special session 'Turning Pro':
Crime, Scandal, and the 18th Century Stage has been extended to March 25.

We welcome papers on "she-males," transvestitism, incest, prostitution,
murder, and divorce scandals, in life and in fiction; the prominence of women
authors and actors; audience appetite and outrage; and other interpretations
of the theme, centering on the public theater during the long 18th century.

Send abstracts to Nora Nachumi (nnachumi@aol.com)
