CFP: Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies (5/1/02; journal
    issue)

Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies invites submissions for a
special issue on Canadian literature for Fall 2002. The editors welcome
interpretations of colonial and postcolonial experiences from a range of
historical and contemporary texts, both canonical and
non-canonical. Readings may involve intersections with other identity
categories such as gender, class, and ethnicity. Of particular interest
are analyses which interpret colonial and postcolonial specificities of
place. Articles must be in English, 4000-5000 words, and must conform to
MLA style. They should be submitted in duplicate and sent to The Editor,
"Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies," Department of
Literature and Philosophy, Georgia Southern University, P.O. Box 8023,
Statesboro, GA 30460-8023, by May 1, 2002. Submissions will be reviewed
blind by the guest editors who will make selections to reflect the range of
the field. Names and addresses should be provided on separate cover pages.
