    CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Touched by the Spirit: Teaching Ideas for the New Millennium is an
anthology in progress that will reflect a new vision of teaching and
learning for the Twenty First Century. We invite submissions of stories of
concrete teaching ideas and classroom experiences that promote spiritual
awareness. Examples might be the use of silence or meditation to intensify a
learner's inner search for understanding, activities that promote trust and
a sense of community, the use of cases to explore ethical issues, classroom
rituals and celebrations, opportunities for deep listening, or lessons
promoting joy. We envision this anthology as a guide for teachers at all
levels to use to holistically enhance everyday classroom life. Deadline for
    submissions is August 30, 2001.
To be considered, submissions should be:
    1. Previously unpublished.
    2. Written in narrative format, preferably in first-person.
    3. Typed, doubled spaced.
    4. Accompanied by a brief (25 word) bio, as well as your phone number and
    e-mail address.
    5. E-mailed in MS Word as an attachment to scolange@accd.edu
    <mailto:scolange@accd.edu> and mduvall@accd.edu
