As you are perhaps sitting on the beach (or wish you were) pondering the
next academic year, consider coming to the beach for the 2002 South
Central Society for Eigtheenth-Century Studies conference to be held
February 21-24 in South Padre Island, TX. I am inviting paper proposals
for my panel entitled "The Lost Poets: The Out-of-Print or Understudied
Poets of Sensibility." All approaches and topics are welcome. The
deadline for abstracts is October 15.

I will be starting a new academic position in the fall and am in
transition between snail mail addresses, so please send your ideas to me
at gator7@sysmatrix.net in the interim. I will post an updated call
once I am at my new address.

For more information about the conference, please check out

    Meantime, have a great summer.

    Best,

    Kathryn Duncan
    Assistant Professor of English
Saint Leo University (beginning fall 2001)
