For a proposed essay collection, tentatively titled "Elizabeth Stuart
Phelps: Critical Essays," I invite previously unpublished critical essays
on all aspects of Phelps' work. A university press editor has expressed
interest in seeing a proposal for this project. All critical approaches are
welcome, but essays that place Phelps' work in its historical and cultural
contexts will be preferred.

Please send two-page abstracts and a current CV via email (preferably as
attachments) or postal mail to:
