Alcohol and Temperance History Group - Open Topic
The Ohio Academy of History will hold its annual Spring conference at
the Cincinnati Museum Center on 19-20 April 2002. Papers will be
presented on Saturday morning and early afternoon. The Alcohol and
Temperance History Group would like to propose a session for the 2002
OAH conference. Panelists do not have to live or work in Ohio.
The ATHG was founded in 1979 to foster the exchange of ideas among
scholars of all disciplines who are interested in any aspect of past
alcohol use, abuse, production, and control within given societies or
countries. To learn more about the ATHG and its journal, The Social
History of Alcohol Review, visit our home page at http://athg.org
This is a general call for proposals - anyone working in alcohol
and/or temperance history and interested in presenting at the 2002
OAH meeting, please send an inquiry, proposal, or finished paper
before September 15, 2001 to Jon Miller, Department of English,
University of Akron, Akron OH 44325-1906. Email submissions welcome:
