Abstracts only (150-200 words) for proposed collection of essays or
journal issue on Richard Marius. Possible topics include but not limited
to: thematic issues and motifs in his fiction; Marius and the saga
genre; Marius and historical fiction; treatment of southern and western
regions; representation of family; treatment of gender; theological and
ethical issues; Marius's biographies and nonfiction. Editors are
currently seeking commitment from academic journal or university press.
Send only abstract at this time, via e-mail or airmail. Completed essays
(previously unpublished) should be 20-35 pages. Anticipated publication
in 2003.
