and their relationship to the British Empire in British literature, or
Canadian and American literature relating to the British Empire (including

RECEIVED by Sept. 15. Presentations should be 15-20 minutes MAXIMUM.
Please do not submit if you are not absolutely sure you
will be able to read your paper at the conference in Toronto which will be held
April 12-13. Papers cannot be read in absentia! Participants must be NEMLA
members before their papers will be listed in the convention handbook. Full-
time faculty membership is $45; student and part time $20 (+$5 for overseas

If your presentation will require the use of A/V equipment, please be
forewarned that you will be responsible for paying all or part of the A/V fee
of $25 which must be sent by me with the complete panel form by Oct. 1.
