    in the region of the Anglo-Welsh border or texts that treat this
    border in some way. Examples of such texts and authors include: the
    Harley lyrics, the Pearl-poet, Lawman, the Chester cycle, Geoffrey of
    Monmouth, Gerald of Wales, Iolo Goch, Siôn Cent, Dafydd ap
    Gwilym and Llywelyn ab y Moel. I will particularly welcome papers
    from Celticists.

    Possible topics: expressions of ethnicity or ethnic hybridity;
    borderless (or bordered) language; colonial propaganda or colonial
    resistances; travel and/or trade across the border; exploration of
    religious differences in England and Wales.
