CALL FOR REVIEWS
The _Iowa Journal of Cultural Studies_ is looking for review essays on
recent books, films, CDs, plays, TV shows, concerts, sporting events,
performances, hypertexts, video games, exhibitions, conferences and
conventions for its spring 2002 issue. Submissions should be between
2000-4000 words and should conform to the MLA style. Send two hard copies
(with a self-addressed, stamped envelope) no later than December 1, 2001 to:

ABOUT THE JOURNAL
The _Iowa Journal of Cultural Studies_, a refereed academic journal
produced at the University of Iowa, is dedicated to publishing the best
work in cultural studies from both established scholars and emerging
critics. Unlike many other journals, we hope to avoid rigid orthodoxies
and publish the best of both theoretical work and applied criticism on a
range of issues. Our goal will be to present the best in contemporary
criticism while fostering conversations across disciplinary and ideological
divides. An editorial board has been assembled, and publication of the
first issue is slated for spring 2002. For further information about
