Call for Papers
American Association of Australian Literary Studies
Annual Meeting: 18-21 April 2002
Conference theme: Narrative in Australian Fiction and Cinema
        

Papers are invited for the annual meeting of the American Association of
Australian Literary Studies, to be held 18-21 April 2002 in Kansas City,
Missouri. The AAALS, with members from North America, Asia, Europe,
Australia, and New Zealand, was founded in 1986. In addition to its annual
conference, AAALS sponsors two affiliate sessions at MLA and publishes
Antipodes, a journal of scholarly and creative work.

Fifteen to twenty-minute presentations on all aspects of Australian/New
Zealand literary and cinematic narrative and the cultures producing these
narratives are welcome, including issues of authorship, national and/or
regional identities, canon, and audience. Cultural studies and
interdisciplinary topics as well as comparative approaches are encouraged.
Presenters need not be members of AAALS. Send or email proposals by 15
