    CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND PRESENTATIONS

    Seventh Annual IIHU International Conference
    The International Institute of Human Understanding

    Conference: March 7-8, 2002
    Workshops: March 6, 2002

    MIAMI, FLORIDA,USA

    IIHU is committed to fostering human understanding in the human sciences.
    We invite papers, symposiums, workshops, and other presentations
    reflecting research, theory, philosophy, and aesthetic work from all
    disciplines concerned with human understanding. The IIHU, which began
    with qualitative research in the health and human sciences, seeks to
    broaden its scope and interdisciplinarity, while maintaining a focus on
    phenomenological research and the lived meaning of particular human lives.
                              
    Submission format:

    Please send four copies of your abstract. Abstracts should be one page,
    single-spaced. One abstract should identify the author/s, affiliation; if
    possible this abstract should be camera ready for the conference
    proceedings The remaining three, which will be reviewed, should be without
    identification. Please send a separate page with your mailing address,
    phone number, and e-mail address. Please indicate if you would prefer a
    half-hour period for presentation or a full hour, and we will do our best
    to accommodate. We also would like to encourage doctoral students to
    submit poster presentations so that conversations can also be pursued in
    this format. The conference is geared to liveliness of discussion, sharing
    of ideas, and developing new possibilities and perspectives for continuing
    human understanding.
