CALL FOR PAPERS

American Literature Association Conference
May 30-June 2, 2002 in Long Beach, California

The William Dean Howells Society will definitely sponsor one session, and
possibly a second, on Howells at the next ALA conference in Long Beach,
California, on May 30-June 2, 2002.

Please send five-hundred word abstracts or papers of no more than ten
double-spaced pages to the program chair, Elsa Nettels, Department of
English, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA 23187-8795, by
December 1, 2001.
