Robert Kroetsch: Essays on His Works
Guernica Writers Series
Guernica will be publishing a collection of essays in their Writers
Series entitled Robert Kroetsch: Essays on His Works. The collection
will be published in 2003 and it will represent, as broadly as possible
in one volume, the breadth of Kroetsch’s work as well as the growing
field of criticism on his writing. The essays selected for this
collection, like other anthologies in the series, will be intended for
both scholarly and general audiences, and it will include previously
published "benchmark" essays on Kroetsch’s work as well as recent and
innovative explorations of Kroetsch’s impressive body of writing.
As editor for this collection, I am particularly interested in essays
that consider different aspects of individual works by Kroetsch or
theoretical questions that link several of Kroetsch’s texts.
Please signal your intention to submit an essay for consideration by
sending a 250 word abstract —either a hard copy by mail or an email
attachment (MSWord Document or RTF) —to me by 4 January 2002. The
deadline for submission of finished papers (using the MLA
Format/endnotes) is 1 April 2002.
