The Science Fiction and Fantasy Area of the SW/TX PCA/ACA invites
proposals for scholarly papers, presentations and panels for the 2002
meeting. The SF&F Area is open to a wide range of interests in any and
all media including but not limited to fiction, television, film, radio,
role playing, computer games and online gaming (MUDs, MMUDs and MOOs), and
the visual arts.
Past presentation topics and possible future topics include, but are not
limited to the following: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, L. Baum's Oz books,
Tomb Raider (games and film), Feminst Fantasy amd SF, The Ghormengast
Novels, The Alien film series, Hellraiser, Cyberpunk Fiction, The Harry
Potter Series, the works of Urula K. LeGuin and Robin McKinley, Terry
Pratchett's Diskworld, the work of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, AD&D and
other RPG's, Gender and Online Gaming, SF&F MUDs, MMUD's and MOO's such as
Ultima Online and Everquest. The list really does go on and on and on.
The 2002 meeting of the SW-TX PCA/ACA will be at the Albuquerque Hilton
near the U of New Mexico campus. For details about the meeting, the site,

Past presenters in the SF&F Area are encouraged to contact the co-chairs
at our new email addresses.
Please send or e-mail a 300-500 word proposal including title(s) and
full contact information for each presenter by 10 December 2001 to one
of the Area Co-chairs listed below.
