2002 Southwest-Texas PCA/ACA Conference
Albuquerque, New Mexico
February 13-17, 2002
Deadline for proposals: December 10, 2001
Faculty, graduate students and independent scholar interested in Mass
Media are invited to submit proposals for individual papers or entire
panels for the Southwest-Texas Popular Culture/American Culture annual
meeting in Albuquerque, N.M.
Paper and panel topics that explore any aspect of mass media history,
theory, impact, and social/political/cultural roles will be given full
consideration. Papers and panels that deal with minority, gender, and
ethnic topics are encouraged.
The 2002 meeting of the SW-TX PCA/ACA will be at the Albuquerque Hilton
near the U of New Mexico campus. For details about the meeting, the

For individual papers please send or e-mail a 250-word proposal, a
brief biographical note, and a brief bibliography for the paper.
For panels please send a proposal including the session's title, the
titles of each paper or presentation, a brief (100-word) description of
each paper/presentation, each author/presenter's name and affiliation
plus a brief biographical note.
