    Alfred Hitchcock
    SW-TX PCA/ACA Conference
    Albuquerque, New Mexico
    February 13-17, 2002

Please join the Southwest/Texas Popular Culture/American Culture annual
meeting in Albuquerque and consider giving a presentation on the acclaimed
film director and "master of suspense," Alfred Hitchcock.

    Suggested topics:
--any one or a combination of Hitchcock's films, considered from any
    thematic, theoretical, or technical perspective
--examinations into Hitchcock's work in television
--the construction and deconstruction of Hitchcock as a public image
    --viewer response and/or parodies to/of Hitchcock's films

And these are just a few of the topics that could be considered in the rich
and provocative field of Hitchcock studies. Please feel free to consider
others as we hope to create intriguing and diverse panels at the SW-TX
PCA/ACA conference. The 2002 meeting of the SW-TX PCA/ACA will be at the
Albuquerque Hilton near the University of New Mexico campus. For details
about the meeting and travel, see the web site at

    www.swtexaspca.org

Please send or email a 300-400 word paper proposal, a brief biographical
note, and a short bibliography for the paper-BY DECEMBER 10, 2001 to:
