Conrad & the Sea/ Conrad & London
The 28th Annual International Conference of the Joseph Conrad Society (UK)
will take place in London in July 2002. We are delighted to announce that
events on Saturday 5th July will take place at the National Maritime
Museum, Greenwich. The theme of this year's conference will reflect our
location and we particularly welcome proposals for papers on the topics of
Conrad & the Sea and Conrad & London.
On the 5th of July we plan a morning of papers on Conrad & Sea which will
be delivered at the historic National Maritime Museum. The morning will be
followed by a tour of the Museum's collection, a trip to the Royal Greenwich
Observatory and an informal tour of Maritime Greenwich, a world heritage
site. Saturday's events will conclude with dinner in a characterful
riverside inn.
On the 4th and 6th of July the conference will take place at our regular
venue, POSK, in Hammersmith.
