    FIXED IDEAS
    An Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Conference
    March 01 & 02, 2002
    Harvard University

    Keynote Speaker: Thomas Laqueur, University of California, Berkeley

    Sponsored by the English Department and the Humanities Center

    Graduate students from all disciplines are invited to submit papers
    exploring the multivalence of "fix." Papers should translate into 15 minutes
    of presentation time (7-8 pages).

    Abstracts of 200-300 words are due by January 18, 2002 and should be emailed
    to prowse@fas.harvard.edu or sent to Gillian Prowse:
