    South-Central Modern Language Association Convention, October 31 - November
    2, 2002; Austin, Texas

    Native American Literature Session: "Indigenous Languages and Native
    American Literature"

    How do Native American authors use indigenous languages? How does Native
    American literature engage or intersect with language revitalization effors,
    bilingualism, code switching, code talking, boarding school legacies? We
    welcome papers and abstracts which speak to diverse historical, regional,
    and tribal perspectives.

    Please submit papers or 500 word abstracts to session chair Joanna Brooks,
    Department of English, University of Texas at Austin, 108 Parlin Hall,
