    'Popular Culture and Religion' Conference Series: FOUR CENTURIES OF
    RELIGIOUS AND POPULAR BELIEFS (c.1600-2000): RESEARCH TECHNIQUES,
    PROBLEMS,AND RESULTS.

    This one-day conference aims to bring together an audience of established
    academics, current postgraduate students, and local and regional historians
    to explore the methods by which popular beliefs and religions are
    researched, the problems encountered, and the results obtained.

    There is a call for two papers from established academics working on
    religious themes or issues relating to popular beliefs.

    Speakers include:
    Dr. Trystan Owain Hughes. University of Wales.
    Dr. Don MacRaild. University of Northumbria
    Dr. Richard Allen. Visiting Fellow. University of Northumbria.

    Postgraduate speakers:
