    CFP: African American Literature, PAMLA conference, Nov. 8-10, 2002

    Proposals and abstracts are invited for the AFRICAN AMERICAN LITERATURE
    panel at the annual PAMLA (Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association)
    conference,WESTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY, BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON, NOVEMBER
    8-10, 2002. The panel will explore various topics in African American
    literature from any period, but papers on recent texts are especially
    welcome.

    Proposals of 500 words and a 50-word abstract should be submitted
    by March 15, 2002 to
