    Call for Papers:

    M/MLA, November 8-10, 2002, Minneapolis, MN

    Session sponsored by the M/MLA Film Section II

    "Genuinely Celluloid Shakespeare"

    Proposals invited on particularly *cinematic* adaptations of Shakespeare,
    from the silent era to the present. We are looking for discussions of
    films that, while faithful to Shakespeare's language, offer a uniquely
    filmic vision of the printed page and stage.

    Please send a 1-page abstract by March 15, 2002 to:
