CFP: Legacies of Spiritual Resistance in Postcolonial Literature (3/15/02;

Postcolonial Literature Session of South Atlantic Modern Association,
Baltimore, MD, November 15-17, 2002.
This session will focus on examining the various texts, genres and forms
of spiritual resistance in Postcolonial Literature, as well as their
interventions in the processes of de-colonization, (neo)nationalization,
modernization, globalization, and resistance movements, such as
transnational feminism, environtalism, etc. Papers could focus on
Postcolonial Literature that represent, recognize, and/or critique unique
experiences and responses to the contemporary spiritual challenges
triggered by social, economic, political, environmental, religious or
medical crises.
Please send a one page abstract and a brief bio, preferably as plain-text
