    Call for Papers

    for a session or sessions at the
    Sixteenth Century Studies Conference
    in San Antonio, Texas, Oct. 24-27, 2002,

    on French-English connections during the French Wars of Religion
    (ca 1560-1590).

    Topics could include
    personal, literary, political, diplomatic and religious links,
    the translation and impact of pamphlet literature, psalm translations,
    exchanges of letters,
    links between English and French catholics,
    French huguenot travellers to and exiles in England,
    English travellers to and participants in France,
    etc.

    Please include a title for the paper, a 100-word abstract and
    a short (1 page maximum) résumé/CV,
    and email the proposal to Jane Couchman -- couchman@yorku.ca --
    by March 12.

    Note that participants must register for and attend the SCSC
    conference. Consult the website at www.sixteenthcentury.org
