CFP: Sequels and Updates of 18th-century Works (6/1/02; collection)

    We are seeking proposals for a volume with the working title: *And Now for
    the Sequel: Examining Updates of 18th-century Works.*

    Potential contributors can interpret that title how they wish; we are
    interested in a very wide variety. Submissions may include, but are not
    limited to the following:

    an author's own sequel to his or her work
    sequels by other 18th-century writers
    sequels by 20th- and 21st-century writers
    sequels in other media (visual art, dance, music, etc)
    foreign language sequels and updates

    A two-page proposal is due by 15 June 2002 and can be e-mailed to the
    following:
