    "The Third Annual New Voices 2002: The Question of
    Theory" invites 300-500 word abstracts for 20 minute
    presentations in the field of English studies.

    Conference Dates and location: September 20-21, 2002
    in Atlanta, Georgia

    We would like to facilitate conversations about the
    place or relevance of critical theory in 21st century
    scholarship but presentations are not limited to this
    subject.

    Possible topics include but are not limited to:

    Performativity in 17th & 18th Century British
    Literature/Drama
    Postcolonial Literature & Theory
    Non Canonical Literature
    American Literature
    Composition Theory
    Teaching Writing/Literature
    Gender Studies & Queer Theory
    Creative Writing Pedagogy & Theory

    Literature in Translation (into English)

    Deadline for Submission: 15 June 2002

    Please submit an abstract describing your presentation
    in MLA format with your name, institutional
    affiliation, contact information and e-mail address.
    Panel proposals should include the names and
    presentation titles of all panelists as well as a
    brief description of the panel.

    We welcome electronic submissions. Please send Word
    attachments only.
