Abstracts are invited for a proposed session for the R.S.A. 2003 meeting
in Toronto (March 28th to 30th) on "The Female Satirist in the Early
    Modern Period."

When the topic of women is considered in relation to satire in the Early
Modern period, women are more frequently discussed as objects rather
than writers of satire. Nevertheless, some women writers did adopt a
satiric voice on occasion. Proposals are welcome on the topic of women's
satiric writing in any literary form or genre, including imaginative,
    didactic, and polemical writing.

Please send abstracts of no more than 150 words and a one-page c.v. by
May 1, 2002 to Margaret Reeves by mail to the address listed below, or
    by email to: crrs.vic@utoronto.ca
