Growing Old in the Renaissance
This is a call for papers for an interdisciplinary session I am
proposing for the the RSA conference in Toronto, March 28-30, 2003,
entitled "Growing Old in the Renaissance." Possible areas of inquiry
include: the cultural work of visual and textual representations of old
age; inter-generational conflict; institutional/confraternal responses
to old age; medical discourses on old age; the gendering of old age; the
politics of aging; the conduct/decorum of old age; disciplining old age.
