Call for Proposals: The Graduate Research Network Online invites proposals
for GRN Online 2002, to take place as part of the Computers & Writing Online
Conference, April 14 - May 25, 2002. The GRN Online 2002, related to the
Graduate Research Network taking place at the Computers and Writing
Conference at Illinois State University, invites both those participating at
the onsite conference and those who cannot attend the onsite conference. As
with the onsite GRN, the GRN Online is a forum for graduate students and
recent graduates to discuss research projects and works in progress of
interest to those working with Computers and Writing with experienced
researchers, editors, and peers. We welcome those pursuing a wide variety
of research models (qualitative studies, quantitative studies,
    textual/hypertextual/intertextual studies, traditional or electronic
theses/dissertation projects, etc.) at any stage, from those just beginning
to design a project to those whose projects are ready to pursue publication.

As part of the Computers and Writing Online Conference, the GRN Online will
take place as a series of events on Nouspace MOO. In addition to the small
group discussions in which participants' research will be discussed, the GRN
Online will sponsor other specific roundtable discussions. See the schedule
of events on the GRN Online website at
    http://www.public.asu.edu/~vpantoja/GRNOnline2002 for dates (times TBA).

Submission deadline is April 26, 2002 (we will, however, take submissions
after the deadline). The first planned activity is on April 24, but will
consist of introductions and practice communicating in Nouspace.

Discussion Leaders: We are also seeking experienced researchers, mentors,
editors, and others willing to volunteer to serve as Discussion Leaders for
the GRN Online. If you are interested, please send your name, institutional
affiliation, area(s) of interest/expertise, editorial affiliation if
applicable, mailing address, and email address in an email message to
    Veronica.Pantoja@asu.edu.
