The Science, Technology and Culture panel of The Mid-Atlantic
Popular Culture/American Culture Association is accepting paper submissions
for its 2002 conference to be held in Pittsburgh, PA. Of special interest
are papers that address the future of technology with reference to
robotics, nanotechnology, and genetic engineering. The advantages and
dangers that such developments offer can, but need not, provide the paper's
focus. In past years, it has been the panel's good fortune to include two
sessions. In anticipation that multiple sessions are once again possible,
submitters who might prefer another approach can address the issue of
technology and terrorism.
