Brits in Boston: a session at the Northeast Modern Language Association
convention in Boston, March 6-9, 2003. Papers exploring
social/political/literary influences of Great Britain on the history
and/or culture of Boston: interchanges in both directions, including but
not limited to papers that focus on connections in literature and other
media. Any historical period and various approaches welcome, for
example concerning women’s movements, abolition, British Puritanism or
Romanticism, class or ethnic politics, WGBH’s Masterpiece Theater, etc.
