Special WisCon Extrapolation Issue

Call for Papers

The Spring 2003 issue of the science fiction journal _Extrapolation_
will be devoted to WisCon, the world's only feminist science fiction
convention held in Madison, Wisconsin every Memorial Day weekend. In
addition to publishing papers from this year's WisCon we are calling for
scholarly articles on this year's guests of honor: Nina Kiriki Hoffman
and Nalo Hopkinson; on the James Tiptree Jr. Memorial Award; on WisCon;
on science fiction conventions; on science fiction communities, fan and
pro, and their intersections.

All manuscript submissions, including explanatory notes and the list of
Works Cited, should be double-spaced on one side of the sheet only.
Neither embedded footnotes nor generated footnotes that some software
systems make available should be used. Documentation should follow the
MLA Style Manual (1999) with parenthetical citations in the text and a
Works Cited list at the end. Only explanatory endnotes are needed.

Deadline: 1 October 2002

Please send an electronic submission in rtf format (no hard copy) to the
Guest Editor Justine Larbalestier at jazza@english.usyd.edu.au. A hard
copy and an e-copy in Word format on diskette should also be submitted
