Siegfried Kracauer is currently undergoing a renaissance as a
hugely significant cultural and critical theorist of the twentieth
century, and his broad thinking on issues, forms and topics of
mass culture being recognised as extremely relevant to our
contemporary modernity. Gathering both leading and new
scholars, this conference aims to provide a much-needed forum
for the rediscovery and analysis of Kracauer and his work. For
