Call for Papers: Nineteenth-Century American Women: The Short Fiction
2003 NEMLA Convention
Boston, 6-9 March

This session invites papers on: the structure of particular short stories; patterns among works; influences of journalistic forms (i.e. the sketch); and narrative structures associated with discourses or social conditions.

The convention will be held in Boston at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. All
convention participants must be NEMLA members and must be registered for
the convention by 1 December, 2002. Information about the convention,
forms to join or renew your NEMLA membership, and conference
registration information are available at the web site: www.nemla.org.

Deadline for submission of one-page proposals or completed papers is 15
September, 2002
