Proposals or papers are sought for a proposed SSAWW session on "Educational
Reform and Nineteenth-Century U.S. Women's Writing." Possible areas of
focus: education of U.S. women authors, women's writing about education,
American educational reform movements, institutional histories, literary or
extra-literary genres, recovery work on lesser-known women writers,
interdisciplinary analysis, and case studies.
The SSAWW conference is scheduled for September 24-27, 2003, in Fort Worth,
Texas. The Society for the Study of American Women Writers was established
to promote the field of American women writers (beginnings to the present)
through research, teaching, publication, and the strengthening of relations
among persons and institutions in the United States and internationally.
