British Association for American Studies Annual
Postgraduate Conference, 2002

University of Sheffield (UK), Saturday 23rd November 2002

We are now calling for papers for the annual postgraduate BAAS
conference to be held at the University of Sheffield on Saturday
23rd November 2002. Papers can be presented on any aspect of
the study of the United States. Panel suggestions are also
welcomed and should comprise proposals of two or more themed
presentations. We are particularly interested in papers employing
interdisciplinary approaches.

This year's conference will include a special session on 'getting
published' as well as a drinks reception and after-conference party
generously sponsored by The University of Sheffield.

Proposals should be no more than 350 words (one page double
spaced) and should be submitted before 1st October 2002. Please
send proposals either by email or post to conference organisers:
