Indian Association for Studies in Contemporary Literature is an all India body(registered in 1983)which focuses on contemporary literature written in English, literary theory,linguistics,interdisciplinary and cultural studies. It has been holding all India English teachers annual conferences at various distinguished places since 1995.
I World Conference & IX all India English teachers’ annual conference
It is going to hold I World Conference & IX all India English teachers’
annual conference at dept .of English ,Utkal
University,Bhubaneshwar(Orissa),India on January 30 & 31,2003,on
“Postcolonial Theory and Recent Fiction in Englis. ”However,papers
covering other collateral areas, literary theory,linguistics,cultural
studies will also be accepted for presentation.
Delegate Fee
Delegate fee for Indian participants is Rs.850 per head for persons
requiring board and lodging.For local participants not requiring any board
or lodging the delegate fee is Rs. 350 per head to cover their lunch and
tea for two days. For dlegates coming from abroad the delegate fee is $
150(96 pounds) for their board and accommodation for two days plus an
extra day as either prefix or suffix for sight seeing and other
activities.Delegate fee for Indian participants coming from abroad
includes annual membership fee of the association.
Life membership
There are two kinds of life membership; life membership of the associa
ership of the journal.the life membership of the association is Rs.
2000($250/155 pounds for individuals abroad) and life membership of the
journal is Rs 4000($400/250 pounds).life membership of the journal earns
the members priority and life membership of both the journal and
association earns top priority in the matter of publication of the
papers/articles/books.
Publication: The association annually publishes a journal titled Studies
in Contemporary Literature.it also publishes books on contemporary
literature, literary theory and interdisciplinary studies.
Contact persons:delegate fee /life membership has to be sent either by
M.O. or bank draft in favour of “Studies in Contemporary
Literature”payable at Allahabad. In case you are not able to attend the
conference you can help the association by becoming its annual/ life
member and by sending a paper on the theme of the conference which shall
be published in our journal. Your suggestions about the conference and the
association are also welcome.
