Todd F. Davis and Kenneth Womack, the editors of Mapping the Ethical Turn:
A Reader in Ethics, Culture, and Literary Theory, are currently soliciting
contributors to round out a collection of essays on the Beatles. Entitled
Reading the Beatles: Cultural Studies, Literary Criticism, and the Fab
Four, this anthology explores the Beatles' resounding impact upon the ways
in which we think about race, gender, popular culture, the formal and
poetic qualities of music, and the increasingly powerful and socially
influential constructions of iconicity and celebrity.

While the volume is nearing completion and a press has already been
selected, the editors are seeking two to three additional essayists in
order to replace contributors who have become unable to participate in the
anthology. The editors are planning to complete work on the essay
collection by the end of January 2003. Potential contributors are urged to
send queries or chapter ideas/brief abstracts to Ken Womack at kaw16@psu.edu.
