others) teachers, scholars, film buffs, and practioners, I invite you to =
contribute to this year's panels. In particular, I'd like to see a wide =
range of arts represented and the subject considered from various =
angles. Submit an abstract of 150-250 words by 15 December 2002. The =
topic is wide open, though I have made a few suggestions below.=20

The 24th Annual Conference of the Southwest/Texas Popular Culture =
Association/American Culture Association will take place February 12-15, =
2003 in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. The SW/Texas PCA/ACA accepts scholarly papers =
from academics, students, and professionals for presentation. The PCA's =
mission is "to promote an innovative and nontraditional academic =
movement in Humanities and Social Sciences, to provide an outlet for =
scholars, writers, and others interested in the popular culture, to =
share ideas in a professional atmosphere, and to have papers presented =
at meetings." The atmosphere is professional, but relaxed. Although this =
is a regional conference,
