Global (Vill)Age: Constructions of Age from Multiple Culture Subject Positions
If we assume that age is at least partly socially constructed, how does the
variety of constructions influence the variety of aging experiences? What
are the differences, for example, of the experience of advanced age in
minority vs majority cultures? In colonized vs postcolonial vs '4th world'
cultures? In marginalized vs central cultures? In culture X vs culture Y?
What are the similarities?
