Call for Proposals

SUN Conference on Teaching and Learning
March 7th and 8th, 2003
"Teaching Critical Thinking"

Mission: The SUN Conference on Teaching and Learning is dedicated to
building a global community of university teachers whose commitment to
instructional excellence transcends disciplinary, cultural and national
boundaries.  The focus of the conference is on practical, applied
strategies, tools and techniques.  All university faculty, instructional
staff, instructional developers and administrators are invited to share
their innovative teaching practices, and to explore with their peers
transformative approaches to college and university teaching.

On March 7-8, 2003, the University of Texas at El Paso will host its second
annual international gathering of university faculty and instructional
staff.  This event is the means by which those teaching victories that take
place behind the closed doors of our classrooms receive public notice. The
2003 SUN Conference, which will focus on "critical thinking and independent
learning," welcomes presenters and guests from all over the globe, and
invites presentations in either English or Spanish.
