Annual Meeting of the Southeastern Region of the Conference on Christianity
and Literature: "The Uses of Evil in Literature -Temptation, Fall,
Redemption, and Growth"

April 10-12, 2003
Mercer University
Macon, GA

Deadline for submissions: February 1, 2003

The keynote speaker is poet Dana Gioia. In addition to the meeting's theme,
the program
committee invites papers on film interpretation and Christianity. Graduate
and undergraduate students are encouraged to participate. Send completed
papers on all aspects of Christianity and literary study to Dr. Rich Gray at
rgray@montreat.edu or Rich Gray, Department of English and Foreign
Languages, Montreat College, Box 1267, Montreat, NC 28757. In addition,
selections for the reading of poetry, sketches, stories, and excerpts of
novels up to 15 minutes reading time are requested. Creative writing should
