Call For Papers/Poems=E2=80=93 H.D. International Society
The H.D. (Hilda Doolittle) International Society will be hosting two panels
at the American Literature Association annual conference May 22-25, in
Cambridge, MA.
1. =E2=80=9CCompanions of the Flame=E2=80=9D: A Reading by Contemporary Poets
For this panel, we invite contemporary poets to read 10-15 minute selections
from their works. In lieu of an abstract, please send a short description of
the works you intend to read, and, if possible, a sample poem by January 24
to:

2. H.D. in American Contexts
This panel invites discussions of H.D.'s national identity/identifications
and her connection to American traditions. Papers may address issues such as:
H.D.'s own sense of national affiliation, her sense of connection to American
literature and/or culture, her expatriatism, her place in the canons of
American and/or British literature, or her invocation/articulation of
=E2=80=9CAmerican-ness=E2=80=9D in her writing.
Please send 250-word abstracts by January 24 to:
